The partnership combines Universal Robots’ cobot technologies with Denali’s Automation-as-a-Service portfolio, which includes AWS machine learning capabilities.

Universal Robots, a producer of collaborative robots (cobots), announced that Denali Advanced Integration, a global technology integrator, has become Universal Robots’ largest Certified Solution Partner. In this partnership, Denali will bring Universal Robots’ cobot technology to major businesses across the globe as part of its new Automation-as-a-Service (AaaS) portfolio.

Denali’s Automation-as-a-Service (AaaS) portfolio is designed for business needing end-to-end automation services technologies to support their information and operations technology (IT/OT) environments. Denali’s AaaS includes feasibility evaluation, design and certified engineering, enterprise application and interface development and testing, environment monitoring and technology maintenance, as well as updates and technical support.

Kim Povlsen, president of Universal Robots says, “Automation is a natural step for companies aiming to improve productivity and overcome labor shortages. This partnership with Denali will bring cutting-edge collaborative robotics to some of the world’s most important companies and help large businesses successfully automate at scale.”

Denali recently announced the inclusion of Amazon Web Services (AWS) machine learning services as part of its AaaS portfolio. Denali says its AaaS platform extends AWS machine learning services to include an automated inspection application that focuses on defect detection, damage detection and assisted line clearance applications. According to Denali, this collaboration with AWS will provide cobot users the ability to combine robotics with machine learning, while using data and analytics to drive decision making.
