More Effective Energy Management

May 13, 2011
Proficy for Sustainability Metrics is a software solution aimed at helping producers achieve more environmentally sustainable operations.

Going beyond utility billings or facility-level meters, the software is designed to offer a starting point for measuring and analyzing energy and water consumption at the area, process or machine level within a facility. The solution is intended to make utility consumption data actionable by exposing it to those in a position to manage it day-by-day in a facility. Unlike solutions that measure resource usage based on utility bills or ā€œwhole facilityā€ levels of measurement, and which deliver information and analytics in isolation from contextual data, Proficy for Sustainability Metrics enables detailed measurement and reporting in relation to the processes and equipment that are consuming resources. This allows both real-time response to unusual usage, and provides a detailed history to drive analysis and improvement efforts, says the vendor.
