Compact Barcode Readers for Small Laser Barcode Scanner Systems
Feb. 28, 2013
The DataMan 50L measures just 23.5 mm x 27 mm x 43.5 mm and features an IP65-rated housing.
Well-suited for mounting in very tight spaces on production lines and in machinery, the unit is equipped with Hotbars, a proprietary image analysis technology that delivers read rates that can surpass 99% for 1-D linear barcodes, including those that are damaged, distorted, blurred, scratched, low height or low contrast.. Features include the ability to analyze “no reads” by letting the user see what the reader sees, either live on a monitor or through image archiving. The unit has no moving parts that can become worn out and require replacement. A three-position lens and an integrated aimer make for easy setup at different working distances, and the small form factor enables the user to integrate into virtually any new or existing installation.
