ABB Robotics has the industry’s broadest product lineup for packaging automation, featuring an array of technologically superior robot models, controllers and operational software for virtually any picking, packing and palletizing application.

ABB sets the pace for reliable high speed robotic pick-and-place functionality with the IRB 360 FlexPicker™, the most widely used Delta robot in the industry. The new 6 kg and 8 kg models handle higher payloads with greater working depths, able to pick-and-place up to 500 products per minute. Along with the 1 kg and 3 kg FlexPickers, all variations are available in sanitary models, ideal for direct food handling or pharmaceutical applications, including a hygienic design for wash down applications and an IP69K rated stainless model.

The RobotStudio Palletizing PowerPac and the PalletPack 460 are the most recent results of ABB’s ongoing mission to develop robotic software that reduce programming complexity and create an intuitive human machine interface for production operation.

The RobotStudio Palletizing PowerPac allows end-users to easily configure the product conveyors, pallet locations, gripper functionality, definition of each product to be handled, and configuration of all products and components included in the pallet stack. Once the cell configuration is complete, the Palletizing PowerPac provides a fully functional palletizing cell simulation with accurate robot performance information, ready to be transferred directly to the robot controller for cell operation.

The PalletPack 460 is a pre-engineered package of proven robotic palletizing components featuring the new IRB 460 robot designed specifically for high-speed palletizing. The packaged configuration significantly reduces overall project costs and engineering set-up time, reducing the barriers for end-users to realize the benefits of robotic palletizing automation.

ABB has a complete line of packing robots, including the versatile IRB 260 for handling single or multiple products in case packing applications.
