China's Growth Propels Low Power AC Drives Market

June 1, 2006
Rapid expansion in manufacturing is projected to accelerate the robust growth of the low power AC drive market in China, according to a recent study from ARC Advisory Group Inc.

(www.arcweb.com), in Dedham, Mass.

China’s low power AC drive market exceeded $700 million in 2005 and is expected to grow at a compound annual rate of 15.6 percent over the next five years, says the study, “Low Power AC Drive Outlook for China.”

Among drivers for the growth, ARC cites the energy savings benefits of AC drives, industry reliability concerns, machinery industry growth and product-related issues such as compactness, lower prices, user-friendly features and new technologies.
