The AM8000 servo motor series features single-cable technology, in which the power and feedback system are combined into one standard motor cable, with encoder data, rotor position, multi-turn information and the status of the thermal conditions in the motor transmitted via a digital interface — which can help to reduce materials and installation costs. The motors are available in six different motor sizes, each with two or three optional overall lengths, to cover a wide torque range (stall torques range from 0.9 to 65 Nm). Features include modern salient pole winding technology to provide a higher slot fill factor and small end turns, in conjunction with a fully encapsulated stator, for robustness and better thermal management. These allow, the company says, energy efficiency more than 10 percent greater than conventional servo motors.
