ABB Machine Tending Cell

ABB has launched its new OmniVance collaborative machine tending cell for automated machine tending. The OmniVance cell can reduce the time spent on repetitive machine tending tasks by up to 60%. Featuring a portable, IP67-certified compact design that is easy to move between different machines, the cell is based on ABB’s GoFa 12 cobot, which combines a long reach of 1.27m with repeatable precision for loads up to 10kg. It also includes power-and force-limiting capabilities, enabling it to work safely alongside human operators. All major components of the cell are pre-engineered and integrated, and set up does not require coding. The cell offers the flexibility needed for high-mix, low-volume production processes.

Galco Safety Laser Scanners

The Leuze RSL 400 series safety laser scanners ensure safety for robotic applications with their configurable protective and warning fields. Featuring an operating range of 8.25m and a 270° scanning angle, these scanners are ideal for large-area monitoring. They offer up to 200 configurable fields and dual parallel protective functions. The Profisafe models can monitor four protective fields simultaneously. Integration options include Ethernet TCP/IP, USB, Bluetooth and Profisafe/Profinet interfaces, making them suitable for stationary and mobile applications.

Omron Autonomous Mobile Robot

Omron’s MD Series autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) are designed for efficient and safe mid-range automated material movement. With a top speed of 2.2m/sec, payload capacities of 650kg and 900kg, and a 10-hour runtime, these robots offer advanced safety features including 360° sensing and dynamic safety zones. They are easy to integrate with existing systems and require no construction for setup for use in a variety of industrial applications.

Pepperl + Fuchs Vision Sensors

VOS universal vision sensors feature a high-resolution camera and a large sensing range that are especially important for use on robotic arms. The range of integrated vision tools allows for flexible use. The VOS2000 universal vision sensor with internal illumination has a mechanically adjustable focus, so it can be used at various measuring distances. Other models are equipped with a C-mount connection to allow the sensor to be combined with external lenses and lighting. A range of accessories available for this vision tool set means that there is no need to purchase additional hardware or software.
