Version 5.5 of MVTec Merlic is a no-code software for users who have little or no experience in machine vision. This software makes it possible to create complete machine vision applications via a drag-and-drop process. The software includes an interface to simplify process integration of Merlic. A new TCP socket plugin has also been developed to enable text-based communication with devices that do not support complex protocols. Other new technologies include the deep-learning-based method Deep Counting for counting large quantities of objects, as well as a new tool for recognizing colors, and High Dynamic Range imaging to address difficult lighting conditions.
