CVD Stepper Motor Driver with RS-485 Communication

Feb. 19, 2021

Oriental Motor is pleased to introduce our latest driver added to our DC input stepper motor driver line up, the CVD RS-485 Communication type bi-polar drivers.

The CVD driver is a compact standardized 24 VDC driver providing the lowest noise and vibration available through the fully digital full-time microstepping control circuit. The CVD drivers can be used with any 2-phase 1.8° or 0.9° stepper motor or the 5-phase type can be used with our 5-phase PKP stepper motor products. For the optimum results, combine it with any PKP Series stepper motor for maximum torque, speed with reduced noise and vibration.

The newest CVD RS-485 Communication type driver allows for operational and parameter setting directly to the driver via RS-458 (Modbus RTU) communications. This driver also works with our MEXE02 Support Software and allows for programs to be stored and called up by the host controller.

The key features of the new CVD driver includes:

  • For 2-phase or 5-phase
  • Fully digital full-time microstepping
  • Pulse generator not needed
  • Set data or parameters via RS-485
  • 256 point-to-point stored data
  • Up to 31 axes can be connected to a master/host
