Aveva Updates HMI/SCADA Capabilities and Pricing

June 26, 2024
The new InTouch Unlimited package allows for unlimited tag counts, analytics from the edge to the cloud and includes a process historian.
Aveva, a supplier of digital transformation and sustainability software, has updated the capabilities and commercial models for its InTouch Unlimited HMI/SCADA software. The company notes that the new models and pricing are designed to make it easier for end users, OEMs and systems integrators to develop and scale HMI/SCADA applications from edge-to-cloud with the ability to incorporate analytics and access Aveva’s Connect industrial intelligence platform.

The new all-inclusive licensing package is available in perpetual and subscription models with unlimited tags, clients and scalability. The InTouch Unlimited package also features a process historian and reporting functionality to collect and analyze data sourced at the edge, as well as from multiple plants and systems across the enterprise.

Updated development tools are also now available at no additional cost and include prebuilt templates, as well as simplified tag and application development workflows using OPC UA and MQTT.

Aveva notes that InTouch Unlimited uses a hybrid-cloud architecture to integrate AI (artificial intelligence) features such as predictive quality, throughput and energy efficiency into traditional HMI/SCADA applications. Users of Aveva Operations Control with Connect can consolidate operations data from various production lines, plants and value chains to provide a centralized view of operations. This also allows the system to scale with business growth without the need for application redevelopment.
