IDEC has introduced the new HT4P Safety Commander— an ergonomic device allowing users to safely hold a HMI tablet while providing power, networking and hardwired emergency stop as well as other operator interface devices. Improvements over the previous HT3P model include a larger size, as the HT4P can hold tablets ranging from 10 to 13 inches, wired networking in addition to Wi-Fi via an on-board wired LAN with a USB-PD connection (which also provides 30W charging), and hardwired non-safety switches. The device has been drop tested up to 1.2m and offers IP54 protection. It can operate in temperatures ranging from -10℃ to 35℃ (or more, depending on the configuration). Clean room compatible parts are also available.
