The Simatic HMI Panel PC Ex and Simatic HMI Thin Client Ex are designed for hazardous zones 1/21 and 2/22 and eliminate the need for complex and expensive enclosures or additional certification processes. 
Both intrinsically safe HMIs are offered in 15-in. and 19-in. touch screen models with eight built-in function keys and copper cable and optical fiber Ethernet ports. All units include flash-based mass storage with no rotating media, fans or battery for a completely maintenance-free system. The Simatic HMI Panel PC Ex is suitable for use directly on the machine or outdoors at ambient temperatures from -20ºC to 50ºC.
