FCI and HARTING have partnered to introduce a new standard in PushPull technology for Telecom outdoor solutions. This innovative technology includes a PushPull locking mechanism which provides the smallest size family of IP 67 rated connections on the market for data, power and signal over copper and fiber.
FCI and HARTING reached the agreement for FCI to become a certified second source for HARTING’s Outdoor PushPull I/O connector family. The Outdoor I/O product family is the industry’s highest-density, easily installable IP 67 solution for fiber, power and copper signal connections. The easy installable Outdoor I/O design will eliminate the need to inventory costly cable assemblies. These rugged, easily installable solutions are an excellent choice for WiMAX and LTE base stations as well as other outdoor applications.“The innovative PushPull design provides the end user with a cost-effective product which can be placed in a denser footprint than typical circular connectors.” said Grace Showers, global product marketing manager at FCI. “FCI and HARTING will be certified 2nd sources for the Outdoor I/O product which will assure electrical and mechanical compatibility and assure continuity of supply for this emerging standardized I/O solution.” “HARTING brings our 60 years of rugged, environmentally rated I/O connectivity experience to this product line. Offering these new high density products in both a plastic and metal version shows we understand the flexibility and robustness required by our customers today.” said Rolf Meyer, President and CEO of HARTING Inc.
