Multi-mode Wireless Access Point

April 1, 2009
The EKI-6311G 802.11 b/g Wireless Access Point, Client Bridge and Repeater offers standards-based and license-free wireless connectivity for industrial devices, equipment, and applications.

Multiple operating modes are supported. As an Access Point, it allows wireless devices to communicate with each other and with 10/100Base-TX Ethernet wired networks. For applications where a wireless extension cord is needed, Client Bridge operation connects one or more wired devices to a wireless network. While combining both of these modes, the unit operates as a wireless repeater to extend wireless coverage areas. A single conduit connection is all that is required for both external power and wired network connections. The IP65-rated unit supports enterprise standards like WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access 2) and 802.1x remote authentication for secure wireless communications.
