Weidmuller announces the new fourth generation printer, PrintJet ADVANCED, as part of a sophisticated and overall seamless concept called Systemized Marking. The complete Weidmuller marking solution includes the printer, marker accessories, and printer software with CAE interfaces. With the PrintJet ADVANCED Weidmuller becomes the first company to bring an industrial ink-jet printer to the world market, that as standard, can print markers made of stainless steel, aluminium and polyamide.

The PrintJet ADVANCED has been developed around various customer needs and can be integrated completely into production area processes. Designed as a “one-stop-shop” printing solution, the PrintJet ADVANCED sets new standards in respect to ease of use with the integrated touch-screen display, superior print quality– including warning symbols or data matrix codes, processing speed and a resilient ink imprint to withstand IP20 or IP67 industrial environments.

The on-board PC offers pre-installed software components and standard layouts providing a streamline solution for print jobs to be processed directly through the USB interface, or uploaded from print files from a USB stick.

Both MultiCard (plastic markers) and MetalliCard (metal markers) formats can be printed with the PrintJet ADVANCED. The MultiCard range currently covers more than 220 different marking formats, which can mark terminals, conductors, cables and equipment. The MetalliCard includes a wide range of marker formats that work as corporate identification badges, terminal bank I.D. markers and cable tie-down markers. The innovative printer has a built-in loader capable of holding up to 30 MultiCard markers and processing 6,000 markers in just 45 minutes or a completely operator-free experience.

Weidmuller’s PrintJet ADVANCED user interface is available in 25 different languages and is intuitive to operate thanks to the 5.7" TrueColor TFT Touch Panel that can be tilted and swivelled. The pre-installed languages allow unrestricted use of the printer around the world. The printing system for plastic markers works on the basis of thermally-hardened inks and is capable of printing in color at high speeds. The ink-jet printer uses water-based inks with print qualities of 600 or 1200 dpi. The printer and M-Print PRO labeling software require Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7.
