More than 900 enhancements to ERP software includes bill of material updates. New inventory management system said to increase productivity by 20 percent.

When people hear about ERP systems, they often think huge applications with little to do with manufacturing. There exist several smaller companies with a manufacturing focus. IQMS, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) supplier in Paso Robles, Calif., has released version 7.6.1 upgrade. Current IQMS customers can obtain the upgrade free of charge. Among the new features are an enhanced auto eform for emailing reports, statements and invoices, reaction injection molding manufacturing type bill of material (BOM) with functions specific to that environment, user defined BOM groups can be assigned with any one of fifteen-plus pre-determined templates, preventative maintenance labor capacity scheduling and enhanced security capabilities in setup and maintenance.

The company also released RackTruck application that includes inventory management application that combines inventory scanning, forklift mounted monitors and stocking location mapping for manufacturers.
