Lantek is a Spanish multinational specializing the development and distribution of integrated CAD/CAM and ERP solutions for the sheet metal and fabrication sectors, is increasingly using social media to reach its worldwide customer base. The expansion of social media, which it has been going on since 2009, will help businesses involved in sheet metal and steelwork “to benefit from further communication channels which are international, inclusive and easily accessible,” according to a spokesman.

Lantek videos on Youtube, which have already recorded more than 5,000 views, cover topics such as water jet cutting, plasma cutting and punching. For a complete list, visit Lantek’s Youtube channel at Lantek sheet metal solutions.

Additionally, Lantek can be found on Twitter, Facebook and Google+ as well as on Flickr, Delicious, Scribd and Issuu. “Through these channels, anyone can interact with the company and get the most up to date comment on sheet metal and steelwork applications,” said a spokesman. “Over 83 percent of the company’s business is in markets outside Spain, where the software is developed, and the company serves and supports this through a network of offices and highly trained distributors.” The company has more than 11,000 customers in 100 countries.

Founded in 1986 in the Basque Country, Lantek has sought to become a global reference source for the sheet metal industry through its Lantek Expert solutions for sheet metal cutting and punching.
