A new release of the RapID Platform Network Interface (v3.1) is now available to download from the Innovasic website Developer Portal. The software, tools and documentation that support the Network Interface Module and embedded design have been updated and improved to provide additional support for your Industrial Ethernet product development efforts.

Here are a few of the highlights of the additional capability that you get with v3.1:

    NEW! - Parallel Interface Support

  •         The Network Interface now includes a parallel host interface that can be used to control the module

    PROFINET Version 3.1

  •         Includes certified version of PROFINET software

    EtherNet/IP Version 3.1

  •         Includes Serial Unified Interface Version 3.1

    Modbus/TCP Version 3.1

  •         Improved the new data handling to provide better support for the host

All Protocols now include support for the fido1100 Simple File System (SFS) and improvements to the Bootloader

  •         Bootloader now capable of self-updates and includes the ability to configure for different memory layouts without requiring a re-compile

The RapID Platform Network Interface solution is a pre-tested Industrial Network interface that manages the industrial protocol and network traffic. Thanks to the module's unified interface, a single hardware design supports PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and ModbusTCP. The unified interface also ensures your host processor hardware or software does not need to change even when you switch or update protocols.  The upgrades highlighted above in v3.1 will work with your existing Network Interface hardware.
