Engineers designing industrial systems face an overwhelming choice of enclosures, cabinets, racks, embedded computing systems and more, which makes specifying electrical and electronic protection products a challenge. Pentair Equipment Protection, a business of Pentair Ltd., is helping to simplify this process by consolidating the company’s McLean-brand product lines under the Hoffman-brand line of cooling products.

“The complexity of industrial systems and technology has advanced, with more automated and electrical equipment across applications and more operations in remote, harsh or hazardous environments that require more robust equipment protection,” said Alok Maskara, President, Technical Solutions. “Moving our industry-leading portfolio of cooling products and services under the Hoffman brand is a win-win for our customers and Pentair. Streamlining our brands will make it easier for customers to see our broad capabilities, and enable them to more quickly select the equipment protection systems and components they need.”

Product specifications will remain the same for former McLean air conditioners, heat exchangers, air movers, controls and design and service contract offerings as they are consolidated under the Hoffman brand during the first quarter of 2014. With the addition of the former-McLean product and service portfolio, the Hoffman catalog gains nearly a half a century of cooling and engineering support experience. The Hoffman brand of offerings is now one of the widest selections available for systems to safely and reliably protect electronic controls and mission-critical electrical systems in industrial, data communications, infrastructure and energy applications.
