Speakers, Sponsors, Attendees Mingle at The Automation Conference 2014

May 30, 2014
More than 230 automation professionals from packaging, oil and gas, municipal water/wastewater, beer and wine, aerospace, automotive and more gathered at the Chicago Marriott O’Hare May 20-21 to network with and learn from their peers.

The Automation Conference 2014, produced by Summit Media Group (parent company of Automation World) attracted attendees from across the country and around the world—in addition to the U.S., attendees also came from Brazil, Canada, India and South Africa. Representatives from Caterpillar, Mars Chocolate, Noble Energy, Wrigley, Brown Forman Distillery, Chevron, General Dynamics, Schlumberger, ExxonMobil, Intel, Sub-Zero, Kimberly-Clark, Mallinckrodt, Nissan, Samsung, USG, and many other discrete and process manufacturers were in attendance.

Jim Chrzan, Summit Media’s vice president and publisher of Automation World, said, “Three years ago we decided to broaden the Packaging Automation Forum to include more industries and, by every measure, this week’s event was another smash success. The networking among speakers, sponsors and attendees was phenomenal.”

David Greenfield, Automation World director of content/editor in chief, put together an agenda that included speakers from General Motors, Dow Chemical, Sprint and more. You can find session highlights online at www.automationworld.com and on the Automation World Facebook page (http://awgo.to/267). Sponsors and exhibitors included B&B Electronics Manufacturing, Beckhoff Automation, Bimba Manufacturing, Bosch Rexroth, Cisco, Ethernet Powerlink Standardization Group, GE Intelligent Platforms, Glide-Line, Wonderware by Schneider Electric, Kepware Technologies, Microsoft, Moxa, Omron Automation and Safety, Opto 22, Parsec Automation and Siemens.
