Inductive Automation will be expanding its course offerings on its free online training website, Inductive University. These will be the first courses added since the initial site launch with 24 courses.
Track & Trace, Web Services, and Instrument Interface courses will be coming next month.
Inductive University has been heavily used since its launch. So far there have been 230,000 video views, 70,000 challenges taken, and 5,400 specializations earned.
With a philosophy of convenience and knowledge-sharing, Inductive University offers in-depth training courses on its Ignition software completely free of charge.
The Inductive University service makes it easy for anyone to develop a solid foundation of knowledge about Ignition software. Users can watch videos online, test their knowledge with challenges, and earn credentials, all from the convenience of their office or mobile devices, and for no cost whatsoever.
The online training site makes it easy to train multiple people in any organization, without the time and expense of sending them to live training. With no fees or time constraints, Inductive University users are welcome to log in and learn at their own pace.
Inductive University is ideal for new and seasoned users who want to learn to best utilize Ignition applications. Pre-generated lesson plans are available to guide users towards Ignition credentials. Users can also search the lesson library to find specific Ignition tutorials by topic.
Inductive University credentials can be earned in both Ignition SCADA and Ignition MES. There are 20 courses for SCADA and 4 courses for MES. All courses consist of one- to five-minute videos which are led by Ignition experts and are organized into topics. Each topic concludes with a challenge to test the users’ understanding.
As new features are added to Ignition, Inductive University video courses are updated and users are alerted to which videos contain new information so they can watch those videos and test their knowledge of the new product. Organizations can be assured that Inductive University users are up-to-date on every new feature and release.
“The launch of Inductive University is part of the company’s dedication to changing the way that SCADA software is made, sold, and supported,” says Don Pearson, chief strategy officer for Inductive Automation. “By giving our user community the depth and breadth of knowledge to fully leverage Ignition, they will be empowered to implement positive changes in their enterprises and industries.”
