Companies across the globe are leaving behind manual forms of production and adopting autonomous manufacturing methods meant to perform repetitive or monotonous tasks, maximize throughput and minimize labor costs. One well-known factory currently utilizing robotic production is operated by German sport shoe manufacturer, Adidas.

The multinational corporation has recently announced its addition of a new Speedfactory, operated almost entirely by robots, meant to supplement Adidas’ current manual processes. The new factory is meant to provide thriving and consistent manufacturing growth so Adidas can continue producing the newest products and designs.

Adidas was so thrilled with their climb in production during the Speedfactory’s trial run in 2016, they now plan to open a Speedfactory in the U.S. in 2017, as well as several others in Western Europe. These new factories are placed closer to where Adidas’ consumers are located, reshoring jobs and manufacturing while minimizing production and shipping times significantly.

Businesses across the globe seeking to increase speed and efficiency using an automated line turn to material handling and automation companies like Simplimatic Automation. Simplimatic specializes in the design, manufacture, and integration of material handling and robotic automation systems, serving a large variety of industries across the globe.

“For many companies, the idea of automating a manual process can be a daunting task,” Kevin Welsch, Simplimatic Marketing Manager, said. “It can be difficult to find and manage the diverse set of vendors needed to develop a new automated process. Simplimatic is unique because we provide all the material handling and robotic automation a customer could need, taking a lot of the headache out of automation.”

Simplimatic makes updating a line or designing a new factory an easy process by providing automation equipment, robotics, material handling, engineering services, and integration services all designed, assembled, and shipped from the USA. Simplimatic is an authorized and five-time award winning integrator for FANUC robots and has the knowledge to pair tasks with a robot perfectly suited for the job.

“The awards we have been given over the years demonstrate our commitment to the sale of quality equipment as well as quick and reliable customer service,” Welsch said.
