Dec. 17, 2018
The company ZF Friedrichshafen AG, parent company of ZF Electronic Systems Pleasant Prairie LLC (formerly known as CHERRY)has announced that in addition to Steute Wireless products will also be offering Steute Automation products as the exclusive seller in the North American market.

The company ZF Friedrichshafen AG, parent company of ZF Electronic Systems Pleasant Prairie LLC (formerly known as CHERRY)has announced that in addition to Steute Wireless products will also be offering Steute Automation products as the exclusive seller in the North American market. The products will become available in February 2019.

In 2017, ZF Electronics began selling Steute Wireless products through their sales channels. While there has been some recent success, the wireless market is still in its infancy stages and has not yet matured. Meanwhile, the market trends are showing a significant growth in the sales of automation related products.

“Strategically it makes perfect sense to strengthen our Steute product offering in our sales channel”, said Ryan Eder, Senior Product Marketing Manager, ZF Electronics Systems. “Our distribution partners are growing by leaps and bounds in the automation space, and while our switch, sensor and wireless products contribute to that, the addition of the Steute Automation products will be a perfect fit. We know that these products can compete in the marketplace both on price and unmatched quality”.

The Automation product line is a separate group of products from the Wireless products ZF is already selling. The offering consists of hinged door safety switches, position switches, miniature limit switches, pull-wire switches, belt-alignment switches and foot switches.

“This product segment is much more mature than the wireless group”, said Eder. “The products have been successfully sold in the marketplace and we are confident that when they are made available through our strong distribution partners that they will be widely accepted and used in the North American market”.
