Aaxeon Technologies: Industrial High Speed RS-232 over CAT-5 Extender

The extender uses CAT-5 cabling, a common cabling used in many applications, making it easier to implement and deploy with an already fixed infrastructure, and has standard RJ45 female connectors. The unit is compatible with all RS-232 protocols and will run at a baud rate of 115 kbps at 1.2 km distance; it can operate at 921.6 kbps at 100 meters. It features an extended operating temperature of -30°C to 75°C guaranteeing the device will work in numerous operating environments, 15 kV ESD protection and built in surge protection. It can be used without a power adapter, but an optional power supply is available for those applications that need more power than the host can provide. The unit comes with a 5-year warranty.
