AutomationDirect’s NITRA line of pneumatics products now offers additional straight, branch, union, Y, reducer, elbow and bulkhead fittings in 1/8 inch and 5/16 inch tube connection sizes. Designed to work with flexible pneumatic tubing, select fittings are constructed with thermoplastic bodies and stainless steel tube gripping claws; additional fittings with nickel-plated brass bodies are also available.
NITRA inline fittings start at $5.25 for a five-pack and are backed by a one-year warranty.
Additional polyurethane tubing and nylon coiled hoses have also been added. Available in 100-foot packs ($13.50) and 500-foot reels ($67), 1/8-inch polyurethane tubing comes in seven colors, including UV-stabilized dark green making it an excellent choice for outdoor use.
Yellow nylon coiled hoses with nickel-plated brass male swivel NPT fittings are now offered in 1/4-inch, 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch sizes and in 10 to 40-foot lengths. Starting at $12.50, the heavy-duty nylon hoses have a low moisture absorption rate and are fitted with spring guards to resist kinking. Hose kits made up of 100-foot nylon hose and 10 replaceable fittings (enough material to make five hoses) are available starting at $63.00; individual replaceable fittings for repair of nylon hoses start at $11.
