Proficy iFIX Embedded software extends the reach of the vendor’s iFIX 5.0 solution to include machine panels, embedded controllers and other plant-floor devices. 
The embedded software allows users to develop one application and deploy it on an embedded device or a traditional PC. The software is well-suited for OEMs because it provides a scalable and capable platform for applications of all sizes. The software delivers: enhanced visualization, trending and alarming; scalable capability and a wide variety of connectivity options; Next Generation Devices and form factors; dynamic language capabilities; and neutral vendor device support. It is customizable using open API’s. It also includes IGS 7.5, a full-featured OPC server with more than 75 protocols to facilitate PLC/device connectivity. The features of Windows XP Embedded differentiates the solution from Windows CE and traditional XP/Vista-based solutions on the plant floor.
