The model V400-R is an ultra-small, fixed-mount multi-code reader that automatically recognizes 14 commonly used bar codes and 2D matrix codes to simplify set-up. 
Measuring just 58x46x24.2mm, the palm-size metal body reader mounts almost anywhere, says the vendor, and the combination of flexible mounting orientation and front view or side view models provides installation versatility. A built-in aiming guide (green LED) quickly locates the reading area for recognition within a 60mm working distance and 52x41mm field of view. The reader scans codes twice to reduce discrepancies and ensure data accuracy even if the code is oriented in reverse. The reader also offers significant energy savings with the industry’s lowest current consumption in both standby and operation modes, says the vendor. The V400-R reader integrates a visible red LED light source with 1.3 mega-pixel CMOS imaging (1280x1024 pixels) for highly accurate reads.
