DC Sensors with Factor 1

Feb. 8, 2008
The full line of 2-wire DC sensors now incorporates Uprox+ technology and quick-disconnect capabilities, making it the first of its kind to include Factor 1 technology, says the vendor.
With sensing distances that exceed ferrite core sensors, these sensors save mountingspace- compared to mechanical switches. Because 2-wire DC sensors are commonly used by machine engineers around the world, equipping a 2-wire sensor with Factor 1 technology expands usefulness for those companies exporting to countries that use these devices, according to the vendor. The vendor’s Uprox+ technology provides sensing ranges for all metal types, and it features an integrated pre-damping protection function to reduce the metal free mounting area in applications. This allows traditionally flush mounted sensors to be recessed by half a turn for increased mechanical protection Turck Inc.www.turck.com800.544.7769
