Compact SCADA RTU

Jan. 23, 2008
The Kingfisher G30 compact remote terminal unit (RTU) extends the full capabilities of the vendor’s Kingfisher Plus+ product line to small SCADA system applications requiring up to 32 I/O points.

The G30 RTU allows open programming in all five languages specified by IEC 61131-3 and supports IEC 61499. The G30 RTU introduces capabilities normally found only in larger products into a compact RTU that is cost-effective for small installations, says the vendor. The 32-bit, ARM9 main processor can meet the needs of intensive applications. A memory system with 32Mbytes of SDRAM and 16Mbytes of Flash allows for high-speed data logging over extended periods. Integral communications include 10/100 BaseT Ethernet, USB 2.0 and an on-board module that provides flexible communications options.
