The BusWorks line of high-density Ethernet I/O modules for distributed I/O and SCADA feature new isolated discrete I/O that also perform counter/timer functions.
These inch-wide modules provide an isolated Ethernet Modbus TCI/IP interface for any input/output mix of up to 16 discrete signals. Inputs sense the status of dry contacts, switches, power supplies, or DC logic. Industrial-grade units have eight 32-bit pulse counters with timers, alarms, and non-volatile memory for metering, totalizing, and low-frequency periodic measurement functions. Outputs control solid-state switching of lamps, horns, and other devices. Commercial and industrial-grade models have 16 individually configurable bi-directional I/O channels with a 0-28V DC signal range. When configured as inputs, channels accept 2- or 3-wire sensors and active logic switches for use with dry contacts, proximity, namur, or 5-28V DC logic. Inputs detect a level or change of state. Outputs switch 0.5A/channel or 2A total. A “loopback” feature reads back the output state on an input channel. Units perform self-test diagnostics and provide front-panel LEDS for visible verification of operation. CE, UL and ATEX approvals (Zone 2, Class I, Division 2, Group ABCD locations) are pending. Prices start at $195.Acromagwww.acromag.com248.295.0865
