As the latest in the vendor’s Exter series of operator panels, the Exter M70 is the first to be handheld.
With a weight of just 1.3kg and an ergonomic design, the IP65-rated panel can be taken to critical areas for applications such as robot teaching or initial machine settings. Configured with the vendor’s intuitive Information Designer software, the Exter M70 features a 640x480 pixel TFT display. The unit has a large, red safety-stop on the front for emergency stops. The user also has an option for an enabling switch that must be pressed when operating the user interface, which protects against giving commands inadvertently. The M70 is designed for both left- and right-handed use. The cable connects on either side of the panel and the rounded handle on the back provides a comfortable grip in either hand.
