The Simatic Mobile Panel 277 Wireless is billed as the first wireless, human machine interface (HMI) unit with integrated safety functions, including an emergency stop button, that have been tested and certified according to SIL3.
Featuring a 7.5-inch TFT touch display, the Simatic Mobile Panel 277 Wireless can interface with PLCs and other devices through wireless Ethernet networks. This allows greater operator mobility and eliminates the need for hardwiring. The integrated E-Stop button enables the operator to implement an emergency shutdown without going to a physical location. The Mobile Panel 277 Wireless will be available this summer.
