The Scalance X family of industrial Ethernet switches is designed to deliver low ownership cost while providing four options of high-performance gigabit communication.
Utilizing signaling contact, digital inputs and simple network protocol (SNMP), the four Scalance X industrial Ethernet switches are designed specifically for high-speed backbone architectures—including process control systems—that must handle a large number of devices with extremely fast redundancy. The switches support 100Mbits/sec and 1000Mbits/sec communication speeds via Profinet, twisted copper wire or fiber optic cable. Scalance X family members include the X200 Compact Managed Switch, the X400 Multi-port Gigabit Managed Switch, the X100 Unmanaged Switch and the X005 Unmanaged, Entry Level Switch. Each Scalance X switch features fanless construction and the ability to operate at -20ºC to +70ºC.
