Secure Wireless Ethernet Radios

May 1, 2006
Industrial Wireless Ethernet Radio products provide truly secure wireless communication and an unprecedented level of data protection, says the vendor.

These 802.11 a/b/g industrial radios are billed as the first of their kind to feature 802.11i/WPA1 security with AES-CCMP and 802.1x, said to be the most advanced security measures available. The simple, IT-friendly embedded software allows any network PC with a Web browser and proper identification the ability to configure the devices. Because the software is embedded, no software installation is required. The radios support three different modes—Access Point, Client and Bridge/Repeater. Available in both wall-mount and compact DIN-Rail-mount versions, the radios support both 2.4GHZ and 5GHz bands. Built-in RS-232 and RS-422/485 device servers allow integration of serial devices onto the wireless Ethernet network.
