Controller Combines Performance/Value

Feb. 1, 2006
As the latest and most powerful in the vendor’s S7-300 PLC family, the Simatic S7 CPU 319-3PN/DP is designed to combine the performance of a large PLC with the value found in smaller models.

The S7 CPU 319 is programmed with existing STEP 7 engineering software, available in the major IEC 61131-3 programming languages. Application programs are portable between other CPUs in the Simatic S7 family. Integral Profinet Industrial Ethernet and Profibus DP communication ports allow connectivity to a wide range of industrial devices. In addition to traditional messaging, both Profinet and Profibus DP capabilities allow real-time I/O data to be sent deterministically, while linking the user program isochronously with the connected I/O devices.
