Modbus-to-Ethernet Gateway

Dec. 1, 2005
The FactoryCast ETG1000 gateway simplifies the connection of legacy Modbus serial devices to Ethernet networks. The configurable and customizable Telemecanique Web-enabled gateway does not require any infrastructure modifications to connect legacy Modbus serial-link and remote access (modem) installations with Ethernet TCP/IP networks.

The gateway also enables e-mail messages and alarm notifications from stand-alone applications. The ETG1000 supports all Telemecanique and Modicon branded PLCs and devices, and eliminates the need for serial communication interfaces on third-party devices, as well as expensive PC gateways. The embedded Web server in the gateway provides simple Web browser access to machine maintenance information, enabling OEMs to offer remote diagnostics and repair services for their machines, or improved or expanded maintenance services.
