PCI Adapter Card

Sept. 1, 2004
The PCI-AC48 is a PCI-based adapter card for RS-485 communication with the vendor’s serial-based I/O, including remote bricks for the mistic I/O product family, and the SNAP-B3000 serial brain.

The PCI-AC48 is an isolated, high speed adapter card designed to link RS-485 serial devices with computers using the standard Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) bus included with most of today’s personal computers. The card is compatible with both industrial and personal computers that feature a standard 33 MHz PCI bus and is ideal for customers who have been using the vendor’s AC37 adapter card but must upgrade to a newer computer that uses the PCI bus rather than the ISA bus. The PCI-AC48 supports communication with the vendor’s mistic and Optomux serial I/O hardware systems. Two RS-485 serial ports provide communication in either two-wire or four-wire mode.
