Improved PLM for Life Sciences

April 1, 2004
POMS eSpec 2.1 is a tool to improve product lifecycle management in life sciences manufacturing. POMS eSpec manages specifications for products, materials and equipment across businesses, allowing database users to rapidly deploy information to multiple manufacturing sites and production lines.

Version 2.1 also complies with CFR 21 Part 11 and ISA manufacturing standards. POMS eSpec includes new features designed to enhance the performance of large databases. The newly extended location model links business data to product specifications for supply chain automation and e-commerce. Users can generate broad data about product distribution centers and customer and supplier locations, and learn specific information about labels and trade practices in certain countries. POMs eSpec also improves integration among MES and clinical manufacturing systems by managing and updating product specifications.
