Rugged Liquid Level Sensing

Nov. 1, 2003
Developed for liquid level sensing in manufacturing process controls or OEM applications, the NR60 point level sensor offers durability in harsh environments through its brass housing and solid-state electronics.

The NR60 is designed to withstand 50g (11ms) mechanical shock, 25g vibration (2700 to 5000 Hz), immersion (protection up to IP69) and temperature up to 125 degrees C. The NR60 works by detecting changes in electrical capacitance in a field surrounding the probe and can monitor minimum or maximum levels of liquids. Compared to alternative sensor technologies, the NR60’s lack of moving parts provides superior durability. For added long life, the sensor’s brass housing may be ordered with optional nickel plating. The NR60 accepts input voltages from 9-36VDC. The 1A transistor output may be configured for either On or Off, Min or Max switching. The NR60 is available from stock starting at around $72 in OEM quantities.
