Registration for the 28th edition of The International Manufacturing Technology Show - IMTS 2010 is open and available at www.IMTS.com.
IMTS, being held September 13-18 at Chicago's McCormick Place, is one of the largest industrial trade shows in the world hosting more than 92,000 manufacturing industry professionals from 116 countries.
According to John Krisko, Director - Exhibitions, for IMTS, the 2010 show is on track to be the 8th largest IMTS since the show's inception in 1927. "We are on track to fill well over one million net square feet of exhibit space and host more than 1,000 exhibitors," says Krisko. "It is encouraging that the show is holding steady in these uncertain times and that there appears to be confidence in the future and importance of global manufacturing. We're moving ahead with our planning for a great event that will inspire the industry for a bright future."
The largest IMTS ever was in the year 2000 with slightly over 1.4 million net square feet of exhibit space used. IMTS 1986 was the first show to exceed one million net square feet of exhibit space.
Manufacturing professionals attend this key event to see more than 15,000 new machine tools, controls, computers, software, components, systems and processes that can improve their efficiency. "They come to the show to learn, to network and to find new resources and innovative manufacturing technology resources," explains Krisko.
The cost to attend IMTS is $25.00 per person through August 13, 2010 (exhibit hall only), and increases to $50.00 per person after August 13, 2010 (exhibit hall only). For groups of five or more who register at the same time, the cost is $15.00 per person.
