Reduced Price for Transmitter-Switch for Hazardous Industrial Applications

United Electric Controls has reduced the price on its popular One Series Transmitter-Switch used for monitoring pressure or temperature in hazardous industrial applications.

United Electric Controls has reduced the price on its popular One Series Transmitter-Switch used for monitoring pressure or temperature in hazardous industrial applications. The price reduction was made possible by the growing popularity of the One Series for alarm and shutdown applications where pressure or temperature must be monitored for process control and to ensure safety.

Two models are affected.

  •    2XLP – Loop powered transmitter with programmable solid state relay intended for Class I, Division 1 (Zone 1) hazardous areas was reduced 23%.
  •   2WLP – Loop powered transmitter with programmable solid state relay intended for Class I, Division 2 (Zone 2) hazardous areas was reduced 25%.

The new pricing went into effect on March 4, 2013.

Having a fully programmable and self diagnostic instrument that provides a digital display, an industry standard 4-20 mA analog signal plus a fast-response switch allows the One Series to replace a blind mechanical switch, analog gauge and process transmitter for existing plant upgrades and new plant construction.

Wil Chin, VP of Marketing and Business Development, commented: “UE’s productivity improvements allows us to pass savings to our One Series customers, making electromechanical to digital smart transmitter/switch upgrades possible in older legacy safety systems.  Regardless of the system, the One Series transmitter and/or switch versions can be installed without added labor greatly reducing the installed cost while providing device and process asset management information to the maintenance team.”
