Schmersal has added the BDF40 machine control panel to its BDF series of control stations. It is designed to be mounted to standard guarding profile systems (40mm/1.5 in. profile). The thermoplastic housing is IP65 rated to withstand normal dusty and humid industrial environments. The new BDF40 slim line design matches Schmersal’s AZM40 solenoid interlock, enabling integration with the AZM40 for a unified door lock and control system. The BDF40 provides up to four operators for various machine or process controls at the guard door in one compact, easy to install housing. The BDF series eliminates the need for larger custom control boxes to be designed and manufactured for guard door controls. Two base models are available, with or without an E-Stop. The remaining buttons on the control panel can be field customized to pushbuttons or illuminated pushbuttons in various colors, by the application of button caps in 11 colors. Available with 2 NC contacts for the E-Stop (position 1) and 1 NO contact for all pushbutton positions. It also features a plug-and-play M12, 12 pin connector, which simplifies wiring.
