Servos Add EtherCat Interface

Feb. 3, 2011
The BG family of brushless DC servo motors with drives covering an output power range of 40 to 500 watts are now available with an EtherCat interface, joining CANopen and Profibus DP (V1).

The CANopen over EtherCat (CoE) function allows the servo motors to act as slaves in an EtherCat network. CANopen over EtherCat utilizes the same objects as CANopen. The vendor uses standardized DSP402 objects for positioning, monitoring and configuring servo drives.
