Encoder for High-accuracy Positioning

Feb. 3, 2009
A high precision Integrated Motor Encoder Assembly features a large diameter clear aperture with integral high resolution encoder, making it well-suited for high performance specialty machine applications in which high acceleration point-to-point motion is required.
The assembly incorporates ABEC7-class precision ball bearings, intended to provide exceptional reliability and long service life. Other performance attributes include a tightly toleranced hollow shaft configuration designed to offer superior repeatability and wobble characteristics essential for optical applications requiring a large diameter clear aperture. The high-resolution optical encoder supports resolutions of up to 0.02 arc-sec. and the Hall-based commutation scheme allows for seamless connectivity with a variety of standard motion controllers.BEI Kimco Magneticswww.beikimco.com800.572.7560
