The speed controller connects directly to a PLC or computer and features two speed control methods, an internal potentiometer or two external speed control methods: DC voltage (0 to 10 VDC) or with potentiometer (sold separately). By making the control circuit CPU-controlled, the speed regulation has improved. This allows for a more stable operation at the set speed than conventional models. The unit is also equipped with an output feedback via alarm to warn of problems. If the motor locks due to an overload, etc., or if abnormal heat generation occurs, an alarm signal is output. The controller supports a wide range of voltage specification and motor output powers, and can be used worldwide, with multiple voltages up to single-phase 100 to 230 VAC. A single unit can support speed control motors of outputs 6 W (1/25 HP) to 90 W (1/8 HP).
