The GVM-095-051-01 linear voice coil servo motor, also called a moving coil motor, features high acceleration and deceleration, speed, precision, accuracy and repeatability when operated in a closed servo loop. Smooth motion is possible even at very low speeds. This is a brushless, low inertia servo motor and has a 1-in. stroke with 23.5 lbs. of continuous force as well as a peak force of 74 lbs. at a 10% duty cycle. The ground diameter shaft, guided by a bearing, is 1.78 in. long in the extended position. The shaft can tolerate side loads to 5 lbs. and has a 4-40 UNC 2B x 0.38 deep thread for backlash free connection to a load. The GVCM-095-051-01 housing is 2 in. long. When the shaft is extended, the coil end extends beyond the housing by 1.780 inches. The housing and coil ends each have two 10-32 UNF-2B threaded holes on 1.00 in. bolt circles for installation.
