Reduce Wi-Fi Roaming Downtime

March 4, 2011
AWK Series Industrial Wireless Access Points feature Turbo Roaming for easier, faster Wi-Fi roaming.

While wireless clients can experience a few seconds of network downtime when roaming from one wireless access point to another, the Turbo Roaming function reduces downtime to less than 100ms, says the vendor. Turbo Roaming is built into AWK-3000 models and higher. The units are specially designed for industrial use and are said to offer extremely high reliability. Models are available with dual RF channels, dual Ethernet, and dual power inputs for superior wireless coverage and redundancy.
