Pre-configured for plug and play installation, the switches eliminate the need for additional configurations and modifications reduce deployment time. Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain network redundancy technologies assure that if a connection failure occurs, the switches will enable fast network recovery under 20 ms (with 250 switch loads) for high network reliability. Fast booting time in less than 10 s improves system availability and minimizes maintenance costs on the factory floor. The switches feature embedded EtherNet/IP, which makes them visible with custom faceplates on FactoryTalk View industrial management software, while embedded PROFINET makes them easy to integrate into the Simatic Step 7 engineering tool. Switches are available in 5- or 8-port DIN rail mount designs.
