The CRA series of collaborative robots features greater efficiency than its predecessor, using harmonic drive reducers to improve cycle time by 25%. This cobot series also has a precision control algorithm to reduce vibrations resulting in up to ±0.02 mm repeatability and 0.2 to 0.4 mm trajectory accuracy during complex motion. Additional features include auto-engaging electromagnetic brakes, virtual boundaries, real-time payload detection, 24 I/O ports, PNP/NPN switching, Modbus, Ethernet/IP and Profinet communication, and optional IP54 protection. Dobot has also released its CRV500 smart camera with Dobot’s self-developed 2.5D spatial compensation technology that can be used with the CRA and CR Series collaborative robots.
