Pinto to Keynote Electric Automation Event

Conference program released for inaugural SPS Electric Automation America Exhibition and Conference.

Industry analyst, author, futurist and Automation World columnist Jim Pinto will present the Keynote Address at the inaugural SPS Electric Automation America Exhibition and Conference, a trade event focused on electric automation technologies, to be held May 23-26, in Rosemont, Ill., near Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

Pinto’s May 24 presentation, “Automation Unplugged—Global Markets in the New Century,” will cover technology futures in electric controls, marketing and global business, according to show organizers Messe Frankfurt Inc., Atlanta, and Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.

Word of the Pinto keynote came as part of a recent announcement of the entire conference program. The program consists of 14 sessions, two panel discussions and five seminars encompassing more than 75 professionals from top industry organizations, event sponsors said, including B&R Industrial Automation, Beckhoff Automation LLC, Phoenix Contact Inc., Schneider Electric, Siemens Energy & Automation and Texas Instruments. The program was developed for decision makers from the electric automation sector, and will cover topics including design, standardization, use, industry direction and trends in electric automation components, products and systems.
